HQ location: Reston, VA
Best thing about being based in the DC region: We couldn’t imagine starting anywhere else. Virginia is home to some of the nation’s top colleges and the talent pool for technology is exactly what we need. The area is also home to a wide swath of companies; from the North America headquarters of automakers like Audi to industry leading finance/technology companies such as Capital One. This allows us to build partnerships across industries, and find experienced engineers and developers looking for new challenges. We would of course be remiss if we didn’t mention that The Consumer Technology Association is also local! They have been a great resource for us, and for the technology community throughout the region.
Most challenging thing about being based in the DC region: Traffic!
In 2018-2019 what do you need to do to stay Red Hot: After engineering and testing our patented technology, we recently secured the right partners and capital needed for production and a successful product launch. We couldn’t be more excited for 2018-2019 as we turn the smart nutrition bottle and portable drink maker concept into a market-changing reality for consumers. This will be our best year yet and we are just getting started!
HQ location: Herndon, Virginia, with offices in Rosslyn and Oklahoma as well.
Best thing about being based in DC region: As advocates for the independent workforce, both workers and the companies that engage top independent talent, we love being close to the country’s center of government. In recent months, we have actively spoken with key Congressional and Association leadership to discuss top issues impacting independents today, and to share both our research and thoughts for the future. It’s a great pleasure to have such direct access given our proximity to DC.
Most challenging thing about being based in DC region: Traffic is always a challenge – we are excited for a metro station to open just a few blocks from our office soon!
In 2018-2019 what do you need to do to stay Red Hot? In 2018, we’re investing heavily in product and service enhancements, but also in our company culture. As MBO grows, it’s important to remain a great place for employees as well as for those companies and individuals that we serve.
