DCA Live hosted two great events last week for the movers and shakers that are driving growth in our business community. More than 250 joined us to honor 40 great CFOs from fast-growing companies like Kit Check, Gravy, Contactually, Avizia and Lookingglass Cyber. A big thanks to our friends at the Crystal City BID, JBG SMITH and 1776 for hosting us and supporting this great evening.
DCA Live honoree Kristyn Reed-Salow (left) took the reins as Kit Check’s CFO last March and has been helping the hospital pharmacy restocking company manage its next massive growth phase. Here she is with Essential Search Partner’s CEO Teresa Buchholz.
Wealth Engine CFO Dawn Orr started her career as a staff accountant at PWC in Pittsburgh and has made her way to being a leader of this fast-growing digital platform that helps fundraisers and financial advisors identify prospects. Here is Dawn with our great friend and partner Matt Klinger of Bridge Bank.
Molly Hill Patten – also recently featured as a DCA Rising Power Woman of Tech — was back to pick up some more hardware. She is CFO of Bethesda-based Aledade, a company helping primary care physicians focus more on their patients' care. Here Molly is with our great friend Chuck Carr (right), a partner at RSMand well-known throughout the region as an advisor and supporter of growth companies, and Ben Kane from Wells Fargo
Also, last week more than 150 packed into the Kimpton Glover Park Hotel to hear a panel of leaders from DC-bsed hotel and lodging companies discuss why the region has become the global capital of the industry. Big thanks to Brian Friedman of Foxhall Partners, owner of the hotel.
Here, Hilton head of Investor Relations Christian Charnaux gets deep in the weeds with our friend Nat Jones of Cordia Partners. Christian and others on the panel discussed how brand proliferation has become a major issue for the industry to manage. Just what is the difference between Curio and Canopy anyway? Cordia Partner is a trusted partner to many great firms and provides accounting, consulting, staffing and executive search services.
The Glover Park Hotel opened in summer of 2016 and features 154 guest rooms and the great restaurant Casolare in the popping Glover Park neighborhood of DC. Check it out if you haven’t yet been!
