What do I wish I knew at 20: Over the course of our financial careers, our business experiences will span 45 years, 180 quarterly reviews, and 540 monthly closings. The bottom line is that “This too shall pass” and as a result "don’t sweat the small stuff".

Interviewing Key Candidates: First off, the resume gets you in the door for the face to face interview and it must be exceptional to make it past my review. Next, during the interview, I’m mainly looking for two things: A positive attitude that will contribute to a strong team dynamic as well as an innate aptitude for learning, growing, and challenging the status quo. They are consummate ‘doers’ and are always engaged in improving how things are done and are ‘hungry’ to drive change across an organization via high levels of engagement, productivity, and solution design. The final element for any candidate is to blend all of these positive attributes with a strong sense of humility.
